Some ideas for the most beautiful
day of your life
For your out-of-town guests…
Many friends and relatives will travel far to be with you in this
joyous occasion. Think how much it would please them to find a
present from the bride and groom waiting for them in their hotel
room. Such welcoming ideas could be some chocolates in rice paper
and a fragrant candle that will immediately make the room more
cosy and warm. You could also add a hand-written note, signed from
the bride and groom.
Wedding cake – Decorative detail...
The cake’s decoration is the detail that will make this cake stand
out and colour it with a note of your personality. Ribbons, flowers,
glazed or caramel fruit, feathers, shells or a combination of any
of these will create a personalised result. The wedding cake is
usually decorated with flowers in the same colours as the reception
decorations. Flowers will add a fragrance to the cake, as well
as colour to make it rich and majestic.
Many brides shun the traditional white-frosted cakes and choose
chocolate or caramel frosting. You can use your imagination and
the confectioner’s advice to choose a different colour, like salmon
pink, lilly purple or sky blue. Don’t hesitate to ask your confectioner
to use his skilled hand to decorate the wedding cake.
Intrigue your guests…
During the reception you can be sure that those present are experiencing
the events in a totally different way than you. Give them the chance
to show you their impression of the reception, by putting an easy-to-use
camera and some instructions on each table. Ask them to take photographs
and ask a friend to collect the films after the evening is over.
The couple always wants to be with every single guest at the same
time, throughout the reception, and not miss a thing – which is
impossible, of course. Let your guests take photographs of all
happenings and events for you. This will allow them to participate
more actively in the reception, while giving you photograph for
an exciting album.
